Graduated from the middle school affiliated to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1988, and entered the Academy in the same year. In 1989, Ye was selected to study at the Liben Art Academy in Leningrad for higher education. She obtained a master’s degree with distinction in 1996. Ye won top scholarships during the years at the Academy. Her graduate piece “Solitude” won an award from the Russia Art Research Institute, and was collected by the museum of the Institute, which is the third largest museum in the country with 200 years of history. Ye joined the World Artists’ Association in Moscow in 1994. Her works were included in many kinds of exhibitions. She also held a number of solo exhibitions. Ye returned to China in 1996 and began teaching at the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 1997, her work “Heavy Burden” won an excellent award at “Into the 21st Century - the Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Young Chinese Artists”. Her sketch won the artistic award at the Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Sketches in the same year.(Lot 162)
